The Master of Engineering (MEng) and Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree programs are available to students interested in obtaining a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering. It is also possible to pursue a PhD degree in the area of environmental engineering through one of the seven departments in the Faculty of Engineering. Faculty members contributing to the Environmental Engineering Program are from the seven engineering departments (Biological, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, Industrial, Mechanical, Mining and Metallurgical) as well as the School of Resource and Environmental Studies and the Faculty of Law at Dalhousie University. Additional support is provided by selected faculty members at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro. Students can select from a wide range of classes and research topics including energy, soil and water quality, waste management, pollution control, treatment, remediation, reclamation and environmental assessment. Students can also conduct field-based research on soil erosion, biochemical transport, engineered wetlands, composting and bioremediation at the Bio-Engineering Centre, jointly administered by the Dalhousie Faculty of Engineering and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. | |
